Telkom Kenya Specialists Go On Strike Early today , October 8, 2014
Telkom Kenya a week ago got a strike notice from the Correspondence Specialists Union of Kenya (Cowu) which has more than 1,000 of their 1,500 laborers that have joined the union.
Cowu refered to abuse and specialists having a place with the union being denied rewards as purposes behind the strike. In the mean time they say those in senior administration pocketed Sh1 million each.
Recently Cowu Secretary General, Benson Okwaro, controlled Telkom specialists to appear for work and actually do nothing until the organization conveys their rewards.
In the mean time Telkom Kenya keeps up that the union is at fault for the laborers not getting their reward pay, as it neglected to approve an arrangement in 2012 that would see union specialists get extra pays.
The organization likewise demands that it is not just the unionized staff that are not qualified for extra installments additionally those on variable pay and the individuals who gain commissions.
A week ago Telkom Kenya said it will be gathering with Cowu in two weeks' chance to talk about an aggregate dealing assention for 2015/2016 where any relevant issues raised by union parts will be tended to.
