KCPE RESULTS TO BE RELEASED.

The eagerly anticipated results of the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) for the year 2023 are scheduled to be announced this Thursday, November 24th, at Mtihani House in Nairobi.

This expedited release aims to facilitate the timely placement of Form One students before the Christmas break, providing parents with ample time to prepare for school fees amid challenging economic conditions marked by a rising cost of living.

Education Principal Secretary Belio Kipsang had previously announced on November 10th that the marking of the KCPE exams was already underway, with the results expected to be officially announced by November 30th.

During a visit to Naivasha Girls Secondary School, PS Belio commended head teachers for their exemplary efforts during the national exams. He emphasized the intention to release the results early to enable the smooth placement of students into Form One ahead of the Christmas holiday, allowing parents sufficient time for preparations.

Addressing concerns about exam malpractices in the KCSE, Kipsang downplayed the issue, noting that only seven center managers had been suspended. He credited the low incidence of cheating to measures such as collecting exam papers twice a day and the collaboration with the Ministries of Interior and ICT.

In 1985, approximately 360,000 candidates participated in the KCPE examination, marking the initiation of the 8-4-4 education system. Almost four decades later, the education landscape is shifting toward the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC), signaling a new era where learners will be assessed through the innovative CBC educational framework.
